ITINERARY:
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to your hotel in Ulcinj.
Day 2: Ulcinj - Ada Bojana: Start your trip with the magical waters of the Bojana River and Adriatic Sea, near the famous pirate town of Ulcinj. The first day you will be introduced to a true paradise on earth, Ada Bojana Island. The broad vistas and melodious winds will entice some to learn kite-surfing in a four day course; others may simply relax on the sandy beaches at the confluence of the Bojana River and the Adriatic Sea.
Day 3: Ulcinj - Sasko Lake: Venture to Sasko Lake home to thousands of birds and other indigenous animals and plants. Occasionally in the high waters of the spring floods, Sasko Lake and the Bojana River meet - bringing fresh mountain waters and abundant fish into the peaceful lake. Along the coastline, you can tour the ruins of ancient settlements including Sas (Svac) from the 6th century.
Day 4: Ulcinj - Stari Grad: Listen to stories of fearsome pirates and travel back in time as you wander through the historic old town of Ulcinj. Stroll from the Square of Slaves and Balsica tower to the place where, according to many historians, Miguel de Cervantes wrote Don Quixote. After experiencing this legendary tale, follow the sound of the wind back to kite-surfing lessons where you will first be swept across the waves behind your kite.
Day 5: Ulcinj - Cruise: Your last day on the coast will offer a boat cruise around the Ada Island before you finish your kite-surfing classes. From this unique vantage point you will observe the everyday life of Ada fishermen with their traditional boats and nets with a backdrop of charming wooden houses. Once we finish our cruise your kite surfing lessons will come to an end with an exhilarating ride on the winds of the Adriatic.
Day 6: Ulcinj - Skadarsko Lake - Zabljak: On our way to the mountains we stop for another boat cruise on Skadarsko Lake - one of the rarest natural environments in Europe. While circling the shores of the lake you will see countless species of birds and observe great architectural and historical landmarks from across the centuries including: Lesendro Fortress, the old urban settlement of Rijeka Crnojevica, Karuc and Prevlaka fisherman villages. After a four-hour cruise, we will depart for the small, charming resort of Zabljak at the foot of the magnificent Durmitor massif.
Day 7: Zabljak : Within walking distance of your hotel is the natural beauty of the Durmitor Mountain Black Lake, also known as ‘the mountain's eyes'. On its shore you will enjoy the solemn silence of the landscape and the slight whispering movement of a sea of slender treetops. Black Lake is only one of the 18 lakes located in the Durmitor Mountains waiting for you to discover.
Day 8: Zabljak : A special characteristic of Durmitor is the unique clear green-blue shades of its scattered lakes, which are true jewels of nature. Hike to the Skrcka Lakes, the wildest yet most romantic corner of the Durmitor Mountain. Surrounded by sharp cliffs whose white limestone glows in the sun, the sight will take your breath away. This thrill will continue as you travel back to Zabljak using paths surrounded by spectacular Durmitor peaks. Evening is reserved for relaxation after a demanding day.
Day 9: Tara River: For the last day we prepared what might be the greatest Montenegrin adventure: Rafting the Tara River.
