Montenegro is a land of contrasts and natural beauty - making a fascinating combination in which the tiny and the grandiose are tangled, just like in childhood memories in which reality seems to shine with living colours. Three colours dominate the Montenegrin landscape: blue, emerald green and iron grey, amazingly combined and interwoven.
Looking at this land from the sea, it seems to evoke the philosopher Kant's words: "Tragedy unleashes the sense of the sublime." This is the feeling one has looking at Lovcen's peaks from the Medieval town of Kotor. And it seems that going from the hotel island of Sveti Stefan to the peaks of Durmitor and to Crno Jezero (Black Lake) is like walking through eternity: two beauties are fused into one. It is no wonder that many famous European botanists and geographers, while visiting Montenegro, disregarded their exploratory missions and became passionate travel writers.
If you decide to learn more about this small but fabulous destination, here you will find a lot of useful general information, information about the country's history, climate and weather and geography.
